Heritage tops Arapahoe with last-second shot

The milk jug trophy is heading home with the Eagles, after they won the cross-town rivalry battle on the court.

LITTLETON, Colo. — The Heritage Eagles topped cross-town rival Arapahoe to bring home the famed "milk jug" trophy Friday night. Heritage won on a last second shot for the 55-53 victory.

Carter Sturgeon tied the game up, scoring for the Eagles with less than three minutes to go in the fourth quarter, and the teams kept it tight until the final buzzer. With less than 30 seconds to play, Heritage's Carson Kurowski found Cal Wing for an easy two-point lay-in for a two point lead.

In the end, the Warriors attempt to tie the game with a last second shot fell short.
