High school stadiums shine on for spring athletes

'Be The Light' challenge lets spring athletes unable to compete know high schools are thinking of them.

DENVER — The lights are on despite the stadiums sitting empty.

You may have noticed some of these bright lights across the state, and they weren't left on by accident.

There's a challenge spreading across the state called "Be The Light." It's a movement by school administrators who turn on the stadium lights to show they are thinking of the spring student-athletes who are unable to currently compete due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Photos and videos of those participating can be found on Twitter by searching the hashtag #BeTheLightCO.
