The deal happened so quick that Matt had met with the players, packed and was on a plane to Nashville within a few days of being hired.

"It's a great opportunity for him, so we're so excited for him," Green Mountain Athletic Director Autumn Sereno said.

Matt's father, Dean Pees, was recently appointed the Defensive Coordinator for the Titans a couple days ago and his son Matt will help as a defensive assistant. Dean was previously a linebackers coach (2004-05) and defensive coordinator (2006-09) under Bill Belichick for the Patriots and most recently left the Baltimore Ravens under John Harbaugh starting in 2012 before retiring just News Years Day this year.

Matt will finally have the opportunity to work with his dad after playing under him at Kent State years ago. Matt coached the Rams for two seasons with an overall record of nine wins, 11 loses.
