No. 2 Cherry Creek holds on against No. 7 Denver East

The Cherry Creek Bruins advance to the semifinals of the girls lacrosse state tournament to face the No. 6 Regis Jesuit Raiders.

Thursday, the No. 2 Cherry Creek Bruins defeated the No. 7 Denver East Angels 12-7 at Stutler Bowl in the quarterfinals to advance to the Final 4 in the Colorado state girls lacrosse tournament. 

Bruins junior Morgan Haws dominated for Creek, netting five goals in their home field win. 

Cherry Creek will play No. 6 Regis Jesuit in the next round.
