DENVER — Geraldo Perdomo homered among his three hits and drove in four runs, Christian Walker also homered among his three hits and the Arizona Diamondbacks sent the Colorado Rockies to a seventh consecutive home loss, 11-4 on Saturday night.

Corbin Carroll had an RBI single in the first to extend his career-best hitting streak to eight games, but was forced to leave the game in the bottom of the sixth with an apparent left leg injury after hitting the left field wall and falling awkwardly to the ground in an attempt to catch Ryan McMahon’s RBI double. He walked off the field gingerly under his own power and was replaced by Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

Trailing 9-1, the Rockies scored three runs in the sixth. C.J. Cron's RBI double scored McMahon and Brenton Doyle's RBI grounder drove in Cron.

Emmanuel Rivera added three hits and Josh Rojas had a pair of hits, including a two-run single for the Diamondbacks, who have outscored the Rockies 20-5 in taking the first two games of the series.

Tommy Henry (1-0), making his second start of the season after moving into the rotation in place of Madison Bumgarner, who was designated for assignment earlier this month, went 5 1/3 innings and allowed four runs and seven hits.

The Diamondbacks sent 10 men to the plate in their six-run second against rookie Noah Davis (0-1), who saw his ERA increase from 0.93 entering the game to 6.17 after allowing seven runs and seven hits in two innings.

Jose Herrera drove in the first run with a bases-loaded walk and Rojas followed with a two-run double before Perdomo connected for his second homer of the season, a three-run shot as Arizona pulled in front 7-0.

Walker connected in the ninth off Pierce Johnson.

TRAINER’S ROOM

Diamondbacks: Barring a setback, RHP Zach Davies (strained left oblique) is expected to begin pitching off the mound at some point next week and potentially throw a bullpen in what manager Torey Lovullo called a good sign in his rehabilitation from the injury suffered two weeks ago. … A recent X-ray on Carson Kelly’s right forearm fracture, suffered in spring training when he was hit by a pitch, shows significant healing, though not to the point where he can get a bat in his hands. “There’s going to be some range of motion and some strengthening on that wrist,” Lovullo said. “He’s doing all other baseball activity that he can, minus the wrist.”

Rockies: OF Randal Grichuk (bilateral sports hernia) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and LHP Ty Blach was designated for assignment. Grichuk underwent surgery in February to repair the hernia and missed spring training. He rejoined the Rockies after a stay in extended spring training and an eight-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque.

UP NEXT

Arizona RHP Ryne Nelson (1-1, 5.33 ERA) is scheduled to start Sunday’s series finale against Rockies, who will counter with LHP Austin Gomber (1-4, 9.28 ERA).
