DENVER — A Colorado Rockies player has earned top honors in the National League for the second consecutive week.
Trevor Story has been named the W.B. Mason National League Player of the Week, following teammate Nolan Arenado last week.
During the previous week, Story finished first among eligible leaders in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage and was tied for first in runs scored and total bases and second in extra-base hits.
Friday night against Toronto, Story recorded a career-best seven RBI along with a pair of home runs.
