Nuggets trade Mudiay to Knicks, acquire Devin Harris in three-way trade

USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets traded guard Emmanuel Mudiay--their first round pick in 2015-- to the Knicks as part of a three-way deal with New York and the Dallas Mavericks.

After starting a collective 107 games in his first two seasons with the Nuggets as the team's No.7 overall pick, Mudiay didn't start a single game for the Nuggets in the 2017-18 season. He averaged just under half the minutes he had played in his debut season with Denver; however, he had increased his field goal and three-point percentage during that time frame.

This year, Mudiay had averaged 8.5 points and 2.9 assists per game.

In the deal, the Nuggets will acquire point guard Devin Harris from the Mavericks and a future second-round pick, while Dallas acquired Doug McDermott from the Knicks.

The Nuggets acquire a veteran point guard in Devin Harris, playing in his 16th NBA season this year. Harris has averaged 8.5 points per game in his 44 games with the Mavericks this year, starting in only one.
