LeBron James formally announced his endorsement for Hillary Clinton today.

In an op-ed published in the Business Insider Sunday, James mentions the importance of working together and giving back to the community, something he believes Clinton will do as president.

"I also tell all my kids how important it is that they give back to the community," James writes.

"Because if basketball has taught me anything, it’s that no one achieves greatness alone. And it takes everyone working together to create real change."

In the letter, James calls Hillary a champion for children and their future, something James also takes pride in, as a part of the LeBron James Family Foundation that often provides scholarships to students.

"When I think about the kinds of policies and ideas the kids in my foundation need from our government, the choice is clear. That candidate is Hillary Clinton," James wrote.

"We give kids in Akron the resources and opportunities they need to stay in school and reach their dreams through education," James writes.

James ends the letter mentioning the work that still needs to be done in Akron and across the nation.

"We must all stand together — no matter where we are from or the color of our skin. And Hillary is running on the message of hope and unity that we need."
