BOULDER, Colo. — The CU Buffs are going dancing.

The University of Colorado women's basketball team learned its NCAA Tournament fate on 'Selection Sunday' night. The Buffaloes will face 11-seed Middle Tennessee in the opening round in Durham, North Carolina, on Saturday.

Colorado has posted a 23-8 overall record this season and was eliminated in the second round of the Pac-12 Conference tournament by Washington State.

Middle Tennessee comes into the NCAA Tournament with a 28-4 overall record.

"I was just excited to see our name pop up," head coach JR Payne said from the Dal Ward Athletic Center on the CU campus, where the Buffs hosted a watch party.

"Our ladies have worked so incredibly hard for the right to be here."
