Broncos sign linemen Billy Winn, Mike Purcell, Jake Rodgers

The Broncos have signed veteran defensive end Billy Winn, who made two starts with Denver in 2016.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos have signed free-agent defensive lineman Mike Purcell, offensive lineman Jake Rodgers and defensive lineman Billy Winn, the team announced Monday. 

Purcell has appeared in 25 NFL games, including eight starts, with San Francisco. The fifth-year defensive lineman has also spent time on the practice squads of Chicago (2017), Carolina (2017) and New England (2017).

Second-year offensive lineman Rodgers has spent time on the practice squads of New York (Giants) (2015), Carolina (2016), Pittsburgh (2017), L.A. Chargers (2017) and Baltimore (2018).

Winn played 16 games with the Broncos in 2016, including two starts. The seventh-year defensive lineman spent all of the 2017 season with Denver on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending knee injury in a preseason game.
