Aug 31, 2017; Denver, CO, USA; Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Givens Price (78) defends against Denver Broncos offensive linebacker DeMarcus Walker (57) in the third quarter at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Denver — DeMarcus Walker spent most of last season as a spectator; he watched the Broncos more than he played for the Broncos.

It wasn't the kind of production you want from your second-round pick. Switching from defensive line to linebacker proved to be a tougher challenge than anyone expected.

"Learning two positions is difficult," Walker admitted. "I haven't dropped since college so I had to refresh my brain and my body. I wasn't the best at it but I can do it."

Still look for Walker to do more this season now that he's moved back to his natural position of defensive end.

It's a position he played just once last year in the season finale in Kansas City. In that game, he registered three tackles and one sack.

Compare that to what he did in his other nine games combined at linebacker: four tackles and no sacks.

It sure looks like Walker was meant to be on the defensive line.
