Linemen take over the Broncos Huddle

Broncos linemen Garett Bolles and Domata Peko joined the Broncos Huddle on Wednesday.

DENVER — In football linemen don't usually get a lot of attention, but that was not the case on the Broncos Huddle on Wednesday.

Both the offense and defense were represented as Garett Bolles and Domata Peko joined the program. This was the third show in a row with the team coming off of a win, which makes for a lot better show.

The play from the line, on both sides of the football, has been a big reason for the teams success.

On offense, Case Keenum has been interception-free during the winning streak, while Phillip Lindsay continues to run wild. The quarterback and running back get most of the attention for this, but both Keenum and Lindsay have made sure to point out that it all starts with the offensive line.

In fact, Lindsay gave his game ball from the game in Cincinnati to the lineman. The other thing that makes the recent success on offense so impressive is that they have been doing it with a bunch of backups after losing three of their starters to injury this season. Bolles is one of two players to start the season as a starter on the line.

The Denver defense has been battling injuries as well. The Broncos had to finish with game against the Bengals without three of their starters as Chris Harris Jr., Josey Jewell, and Derek Wolfe all went down and out. Peko's return to Cincinnati was special, after all he spent 11 seasons with the Bengals.

The Broncos Huddle also featured it's weekly features of Who Am I, Tech Time, and an audience member was able to ask a question.

The Broncos Huddle airs every Wednesday night on 9NEWS at 6:30 p.m., and on Channel 20 at 10:30 p.m.
