DENVER — The Denver Broncos sent a letter to their season-ticket holders Thursday assuring refunds or future credit would be granted in the event of a cancellation caused by the covid-19 public health crisis.

The team did repeat the NFL’s message that it anticipates an uninterrupted 2020 schedule. The four-game preseason schedule is set to be carried in August with the Broncos’ first regular-season game to be held either Sunday, Sept. 13 or Monday, Sept. 14.

However, the Broncos did acknowledge procedures are in place should the coronavirus pandemic continue to the point the 2020 schedule is altered.

Two possible adjustments:

  • If a game is cancelled or is played in conditions in which fans are prohibited from attending, season-ticket holders would get a full refund or future credit.
  • The team’s annual seat improvement process is postponed until it get in a position to assist fans. Once the Broncos are able to operate its seat-improvement program, season-ticket holders will be given a one-week notice.
