KUSA — The NFL announced Wednesday that it has named Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
The award marks the first conference recognition of Lindsay's career.
Lindsay on Sunday rushed for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries with a 8.3 average. The 157 rushing yards led all NFL players in Week 12.
Lindsay is the third Broncos player to receive AFC Player of the Week recognition this season. Linebacker Von Miller and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders received honors in Week 11 and Week 7, respectively.
The Broncos' 24-10 win in Cincinnati was the team's third in a row.
The Denver Broncos (6-6) play the San Francisco 49ers (2-10) on Sunday in Santa Clara, California.
