Missy Franklin may have had a rough time in Rio, but support for the five-time Olympic medalist in Colorado is as strong as ever.
Franklin returned to her Centennial home on Wednesday where she was greeted by a special surprise.
Hundreds of heart-shaped notes of encouragement were scattered throughout her lawn, each with its own message of appreciation and support for the athlete.
"THANK YOU to the people whose support has been unwavering, and whose love never ceases to inspire and amaze me,” Franklin wrote in an Instagram post. “I have the best community in the world around me!”
