COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Rémi Cabral has signed with Colorado Rapids 2 for the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season, the club announced Wednesday.
The midfielder arrives in Colorado after spending the past two seasons with USL Championship side LA Galaxy II.
Cabral, 23, made 56 appearances across all competitions with Los Angeles, recording eight goals and two assists.
Cabral joins his twin brother Kevin Cabral in Colorado after Kevin recently signed a first team contract with the Rapids.
"Remi’s signing gives us another dynamic option in the final third," Rapids 2 General Manager Brian Crookham said. "We are excited to see how his athleticism combines with the other talented attackers we have to create what we believe will be a potent strike force."
Born in Paris, France, Cabral spent his youth career with Paris Saint-German’s U-17 and U-19 sides before signing with FC Metz B in France’s Ligue 1 in 2017. In 2018, Cabral joined Valenciennes FC, where he scored two goals in four appearances.
The Colorado Rapids 2 play their home matches at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
