DENVER — The Mexico and Colombia soccer match, scheduled for Saturday, May 30 at Empower Field at Mile High was canceled on Thursday morning. The ongoing COVID-19 crisis was cited as the reason.
The decision was made by Soccer United Marketing (SUM) and the Mexico Football Federation (FMF).
In a release provided by the stadium, there is some hope the match could happen down the road.
"Both federations (SUM, FMF) have agreed to work together to explore all options to reschedule the match during the current World Cup cycle," the release said.
