The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are losing their Triple-A league distinction and becoming a rookie league team. To coincide with that change they're changing the team's name.

Technically, the Sky Sox are moving to San Antonio and a short-league team from Helena, Montana is moving to Colorado Springs - but that's pretty inside baseball.

Your favorite Sky Sox gear is about to become a collector's item as new merchandise is about to hit shelves. But not yet.

First, the team will actually have to select a new name - and they want YOUR help. The organization that runs the Sky Sox has put up a list of five names and a poll on their site. You can vote from July 18 to August 1.

Pick the new name from the following options:

1. Rocky Mountain Oysters

2. Colorado Springs Throttle Jockeys

3. Colorado Springs Punchy Pikas

4. Colorado Springs Lamb Chops

5. Colorado Springs Happy Campers

You've got some choices there. A few food options - I think we ALL know what Rocky Mountain Oysters are...

You've also got the choice between the "punchy pikas", which, if you know what that is, please email me at jacob.rodriguez@9news.com. [Update: I've received several emails - pikas are very cute animals that are a little larger than mice and also don't hibernate. They're related to rabbits and are pretty darn cute - check them out.]

The throttle jockeys and happy campers are the two that sound the most like standard sports teams names.

But minor league baseball is perhaps most well-known for its interesting team names. Jacksonville, Florida's AA club are known as the Jumbo Shrimp. There's the Akron RubberDuckys. Have you met the New Orleans Baby Cakes? Binghamton, New York (where noted ex-Bronco Tim Tebow once batted) are the Rumble Ponies.

So what are you waiting for? Get on this site and vote for your favorite! And let us know on Facebook and Twitter what's your favorite!
