A crash involved a pair of semitrailers and several other vehicles has shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 at Colfax Avenue in Golden Tuesday evening.
Colorado State Patrol said on Twitter that the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Colorado Department of Transportation was assisting in the investigation and cleanup of the wreck.
CDOT tweeted about the wreck around 6 p.m., saying that the major crash had shut down a whole mile of the interstate.
The eastbound lanes are being diverted onto 6th Avenue in Golden in the meantime as clean up work continues.
Three people reportedly suffered minor injuries.
