I-25 at Alameda reopens following 2 car crash

Southbound lanes of I-25 were closed Saturday morning for a two vehicle crash, according to police.

DENVER — Southbound lanes of Interstate 25 reopened Saturday morning after being closed for several hours due to a two car crash.

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) tweeted around 9:13 a.m. that southbound lanes of the Interstate had reopened.

The closure of I-25 was between Alameda Avenue and 6th Avenue, according to the CDOT.

The Denver Police Department (DPD) tweeted about the crash around 5:24 a.m., saying officers were on scene for a two vehicle crash with injuries along southbound I-25 and West Alameda Avenue.

According to DPD, one person was seriously injured in the crash.
