DENVER — Denver police responded to "a large-scale weather-related, multi-vehicle crash" on eastbound 6th Avenue at the Interstate 25 interchange on Thursday.
Police said more than 50 vehicles were involved in the crash, but there were no life-threatening injuries.
Westbound 6th was closed at Kalamath Street, and eastbound 6th was closed at Federal Boulevard, police said in a tweet.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) tweeted at about 11:15 p.m. that the road was back open in both directions and the crash was clear.
West and south Denver are now on an accident alert, police said.
