ADAMS COUNTY, Colo — Last-minute construction work on railroad tracks will impact traffic along 152nd Avenue in Adams County on Thursday.

The railroad crossing located on East 152nd Avenue, between I-76 and Lark Bunting Road, will be closed for work on the tracks and the crossing, BNSF Railway said in a news release.

The closure started at 7 a.m. and is expected to last until about 5 p.m. Thursday. Detour signage will be in place for the duration of the closure. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes.

"We wish we could have provided more notice, but BNSF did not provide us with typical advance notice on this project," Adams County Gov't said in a tweet.
