LARKSPUR — All lanes of southbound Interstate 25 were closed at Upper Lake Gulch Road ( exit 172) for hours Monday morning following a deadly crash involving a pedestrian and a box truck, according to a spokesperson for the Colorado State Patrol.
Just after 4:15 Monday morning, CSP was notified that a box truck that was traveling south on the highway struck a male pedestrian. The man died from his injuries, CSP said.
As a result of the investigation, all southbound lanes were closed until about 8:30 a.m.
On Sunday there was a crash in the same area that involved three vehicles. Five people were taken to the hospital from that crash.
