Tuesday is last day to comment on I-25 South Gap project

That comment period for the I-25 South Gap Project wraps up Tuesday May 29. As part of the project, CDOT plans to add a new tolled express lane in each direction between Monument and Castle Rock.

DOUGLAS COUNTY - Tuesday is the last day to share your opinion on the Interstate 25 South Gap project.

The Colorado Department of Transportation wants to expand I-25 between Monument and Castle Rock by adding a new tolled Express Lane in each direction, widening shoulders, replacing outdated infrastructure.

As part of the project, they'll address design deficiencies of the aging roadway, adding wildlife underpasses, and modernizing the facility with improved drainage, lighting, communications, power, and signage.

All improvements are planned within CDOT’s right-of-way, and won't require them to take any property.

The public has 30 days to comment on the project. That comment period wraps up May 29.
