United Airlines said Friday it will formally roll out its new, full-blown international premium economy offering on March 30.

The Chicago-based carrier said the new product, which it has branded “United Premium Plus,” will be available on 21 routes by the end of May. Tickets for the new product will go sale Dec. 3 on routes where it will be available initially.

The new product will incorporate elements of United’s Polaris international business class product in a more attractively-priced cabin that offers a travel experience with more bells and whistles than are available in United’s regular economy cabin.

Noted Andrew Nocella, United’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer: “United Premium Plus gives our customers more options so they can choose the best experience that fits their wants and needs when they travel. United Premium Plus includes some of our high-end amenities from United Polaris, and is the perfect option for someone who wants an upgraded experience in the economy cabin."
