Large hail shattered windows and transformed green spaces into ponds in one Highlands Ranch neighborhood Monday afternoon.
The BackCountry neighborhood is located near South Broadway and West Wildcat Reserve Parkway.
Flooding was also seen in the neighborhood, and cars suffered damage as they were pounded by hail more than an inch in diameter.
"I think [we have] a total of six windows broken," BackCountry resident Elysia Summerlin said," one cracked and then 80 percent of our screens are probably going to have to be replaced."
Her family only moved into their home six weeks ago.
"We're gonna be broken into in a literal sense when it comes to having a new house," Summerlin said.
Another round of storms are possible for Tuesday afternoon.
"That was an adventure," Summerlin said. "I swear. The baseball-sized hail. There was baseball-sized hail a couple of times."
