CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — In the Atlantic, there are two areas of interest: Invest 94-L, with a 70% chance of development over the next 5 days, and a smaller area of interest that has a 20% chance of development.

Though the probability looks to be in 94-L's favor, it'll have to battle and overcome some Saharan dust and a bit of wind shear.

The smaller area of interest in the Gulf of Mexico is being flagged for the possibility of a low pressure system to form in the region headed into next week. Any development would be slow, and it could bring some much-needed rain to South Texas.

Both of these Atlantic interests are just something to watch - not worry about.
