KUSA – Spotters have confirmed that a tornado touched down in Park County south of Fairplay Thursday afternoon.

This same storm cell is bringing a threat for flash flooding to the nearby Weston Pass Fire, which has swelled to 10,727 acres.

Photos shared by 9NEWS viewers show the tornado against a backdrop of wildfire smoke.

Multiple 9NEWS viewers spotted the tornado. There’s no word on if it caused any damage.

According to the National Weather Service, this is the sixth confirmed tornado in Park County since 1950.
