Gusty winds and colder temperatures settle into Colorado on Friday.

The brief system could bring up to an inch of snow to the city, but we'll quickly warm back up over the weekend.

Very light snow showers in the Denver area will start late Friday morning, lasting on and off until the evening.

Most locations near downtown Denver will see up to 1 inch of snowfall. Locations over the Palmer Divide, near Castle Rock, could see 1 to 3 inches. Slightly higher amounts in and near the foothills.

Front Range Snow Forecast

Colorado's mountains will see periods of snow throughout Friday before decreasing in the evening. Snow and hazardous travel conditions will exist in the Colorado high country.

The weekend along the Front Range looks to be dry and warmer. Highs on Saturday will be near 49° and up to 59° on Sunday.
