It wasn’t much, but Denver got its first snowfall of the season overnight

Other parts of the Front Range also saw a dusting of the white stuff.

KUSA — The first official snowfall in Denver came overnight Friday and early Saturday morning.

There was just enough mixing from rain to snow to leave a half inch of snow at DIA Saturday morning, making it the first official snowfall of the season.

Downtown Denver saw just rain showers overnight, but other parts of the Front Range also saw a dusting.

The average date of the first snow in Denver is October 18. On average, the month of October sees 4.2 inches of snow.

More snow is possible for the Front Range by Monday afternoon and into early Tuesday morning.
