DENVER — A beautiful Easter morning turned into darkening skies on Sunday afternoon, with the possibility of showers and then a thunderstorm after 5 p.m.
The weather led to a delay for the Colorado Rockies game, and a thunderstorm closed all but one lift at Arapahoe Basin.
The National Weather Service in Boulder tweeted that the storm led to a half an inch of rain at Denver International Airport in a matter of 10 minutes.
Temperatures will fall to below 60 degrees in the evening, with wind gusts as high as 20 miles per hour.
