Winter storm warnings for mountains, wet morning commute along the Front Range

Much colder air sweeping over the area brought rain and snow to those of us living on the plains. Heavy snow is expected to continue in the mountains.

It will be chilly and wet to finish off April!

Rain and snow that arrived Monday afternoon will wind down Tuesday morning, leaving roads wet for the morning commute.

There will be a lot of melting when the snow comes in contact with the ground, so we don't expect the morning commute to be too bad.

Total snow accumulations will be light to almost none in most areas.

After hitting 78° on Sunday we only reached 42° on Monday.

After a bit of rain and snow in the morning on Tuesday, we'll be back to the 50s and thunderstorms by the afternoon.
