Heart week: A nurse becomes a patient
Jennifer Gaydosh, a cardiac nurse at Rose Medical Center, was young, active and very healthy until her life changed one day while at work. She shares her story of how a spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), a tear in one of the blood vessels to her heart, caused her to have a heart attack. SCAD most often occurs in young, healthy women, and can present similarly to a heart attack.
