Dustin Yslas of Aurora died early Sunday morning after being transported from the party in an ambulance.

The rave, promoted under the name "Changing the Rules," was held Saturday night and Sunday morning in a building in the 7500 block of York Street in unincorporated Adams County.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office is conducting the death investigation and released only a few details about the case.

"[Yslas] and a number of friends went to this party... and that while there, he and his friends purchased a number of ecstasy tablets," said Adams County Coroner James Hibbard. "His friends state that the decedent had purchased three of the tablets. They tell us that typically in times past when they've gone to these parties, everyone would purchase two tablets. This particular time, Dustin purchased three of the tablets and took all three at the same time."

Hibbard says that before the party Yslas was drinking Red Bull energy drinks and it's believed he was also intoxicated.

"According to his friends, Dustin and his friends have gone to these parties before. Now, we've spoken to the family and the family didn't think that was the case," said Hibbard. "They were just out to have a good time and apparently they knew of this party and they have attended similar type of parties before. They just showed up there."

Phone calls and e-mails requesting comment from the party's promoter, Harlock's Elite, were not immediately returned.

A phone call to the owner of the warehouse also went unreturned.

The location of the party was not publicly disclosed. Ticket buyers were instructed to go to a "map point" at 1516 Emerson St. where they received directions to the warehouse in Adams County.

The party was advertised as open to "all responsible ages."

Partygoers posted messages on the Harlock's Elite Web site discussing what drugs were available at the rave and how to elude employer drug tests afterward.

The promoter acknowledged the suspected overdose death in a message posted on his Web site reading, in part, "I am saddened and disheartened by this turn of events."

A medic was on-scene all evening, according to Harlock's Elite, and offered aid.

"I am really hurt by this blow and wish there was anyway this could've been avoided," the promoter wrote online. "We had had police issues all night, but they did not shut us down and then this happened."

The Adams County Coroner's Office is completing its report on Yslas' death.

The promoter's Web site where partygoers were discussing the rave was taken down Tuesday night.
