DENVER – The cold did not dampen the mood much in LoDo Friday for the Colorado Rockies home opener.
Patios at restaurants and bars around Coors Field were a little less crowded as the snow fell.
But that just meant more people packed inside those businesses, and fans who did venture onto the patios huddled around sparse heat sources outside.
At Jackson’s, 9NEWS met a fan who is often told he looks like Charlie Blackmon.
On the sidewalk across the street from Coors Field, 9NEWS met a drummer who performed for hours despite the snow falling on him.
And inside a food truck, 9NEWS met a cashier who longed for the heat from wood fire oven the guy making pizza behind her was using to stay warm.
