DENVER — Stores across the United States either close or adjust business hours on holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve.
In 2020, stores were closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve because of the pandemic. Since then, many stores have announced continued closures during select days during the holiday season.
So, what is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?
King Soopers announced that all its stores and fuel centers will be closing at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. King Soopers' pharmacies will close at 5 p.m. Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.
Safeway will open most stores Christmas Eve with reduced hours. Some Safeway stores will be closed on Christmas Day. Locations that stay open will close early. Check your local store for details.
Walmart and Target are also closed on Christmas Day: Monday, Dec. 25.
