Krispy Kreme rolls out its new Hershey's Gold Doughnut

Introducing the latest limited-edition doughnut: the Hershey's Gold Doughnut.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut and Hershey are going for the gold.

The popular doughnut maker has teamed up with the iconic chocolate brand and introduced its latest limited-edition doughnut: the Hershey’s Gold Doughnut.

The new fried dough confectionery treat is a combination of Krispy Kreme’s original glazed doughnut with a salted caramel icing and topped with crunchy pieces of Hershey’s Gold bar.

It's described as a salty sweet doughnut flavor.

“We’ve created the perfect balance between smooth and crunchy by including actual pieces of the salty sweet Hershey’s Gold bar on our Original Glazed Doughnut,” Krispy Kreme Doughnut chief marketing officer Jackie Woodward said in a statement.

Hershey’s Gold bar is made with caramelized creme and salty peanuts and pretzel bits. It was introduced last year and is only the chocolate maker’s fourth candy bar in its 117-year history.

This is the second time that Krispy Kreme and Hershey have teamed up to create a new doughnut. Last year, they introduced the Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnut.
