Children's toilet step stools recalled over defective hippopotamus hats

There have been two reports of children falling from the step stool because of the hippo's hat.
Recalled SquattyPottymus toilet step stool.

Squatty Potty is recalling thousands of children's toilet step stools.

The recall involves the SquattyPottymus step stool used to help a child reach a toilet seat. The removable step (hat) on the step stool can detach when a child stands on it, posing a fall and injury hazard.

There have been two reports of children falling from the step stool. One child hit her chin on a toilet and another child fell and hit his head on a wall.

The SquattyPottymus was sold online at SquattyPotty.com and Amazon.com from September 2017 to November 2017 for about $50.

Consumers should stop using the children's step stools until they remove the hat and contact Squatty Potty for instructions on returning the hat portion for a $10 refund.

You can learn more about this recall at CPSC.gov or SquattyPotty.com.
