Victim dies days after Denver shooting

The shooting happened around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 3100-block of North Downing Street. One of the victims died Saturday.

DENVER — The Denver Police Department is asking for the public's help finding the person or people responsible for a shooting that killed a teen and injured another person Wednesday night.

Police said the shooting happened around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 3100-block of North Downing Street. The victims were both taken to the hospital.

Police said one of the victims died of his injuries Saturday night. He has been identified as Edward Armijo Preciado, 15. 

Police have not released any suspect information. Anyone with information that may help the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
