WATCH: Gunfire exchange captured on video, police looking for suspects

The shooting happened around 12:35 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 4500 block of North Gibraltar Avenue, the Denver Police Department said.

DENVER — Denver Police Department is trying to identify possible suspects in a shooting on Aug. 31.

The shooting took place around 12:35 p.m. in the 4500 block of North Gibraltar Street, which is in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.

One person is seen walking past a silver sedan before turning around and firing several gunshots into the front of the car. A person in the driver seat of the sedan is then seen firing back at the suspect.

One person inside the vehicle was shot, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
