Police find man and woman involved in possible kidnapping

Police said they received two calls about an SUV with a woman inside screaming.

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Westminster Police, about 4:45 p.m., we were able to make contact with the male and female involved in what they called a possible kidnapping earlier Sunday.

Tony Villarreal Jr. was taken into custody on a protection order violation and the woman was not injured, police said. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges may be forthcoming.

Police asked for the public's help after it was reported that the man was getting gas when a female in the SUV was heard screaming for help, police said in a release. The SUV immediately left the area, the 9100 block of 100th Avenue.

A short time later, a caller in the 11200 block of Simms Street reported what police said they thought was the same SUV pulled to the side of the road. A female attempted to get out and was screaming for help, the release said.
