Something may catch your eye if you're in downtown Denver.
There’s a massive sign on the Denver City and County building that says “Denver (Hearts) Immigrants.”
On social media, the Mayor’s office says it’s a Valentine’s Day note announcing Denver is an open and welcoming city. It was also put up as a call to Washington to do something about DACA.
In a post on the Mayor’s Facebook page, the city says, "We want to send love and a clear message to immigrants that Denver is an open and welcoming city. This is a message to the families and individuals who make our city the beautiful, diverse place it is during a time when Washington is sending a very different message.”
DACA expires next month.
