COMMERCE CITY, Colo — Police have released photos of a car they believe is connected to a possible attempted kidnapping in Commerce City in January.

Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying the car pictured below and its driver after someone may have tried to kidnap a young teenage girl on Jan. 17.

Police said the incident happened between 4:30 and 5 p.m. in the area of Second Creek Elementary School. The man followed the girl from the area of 100th Avenue and Laredo Drive about three blocks to 97th Avenue, where the teen contacted her parents, Commerce City police said. Her parents immediately called 911.
