Amy Hunter is a Photojournalist at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.
Amy joined 9NEWS in August 2022.
She is a Colorado native and is thrilled to be sharing stories in her home state. Prior to coming to 9NEWS, Amy worked at Spectrum’s New York City station, New York 1 (NY1). While there, she received an Emmy Award for her work as a photographer. She covered the gambit during her time in NYC, from the Tony Awards to high-profile trials, but some of her favorite stories came while sharing community stories as part of NY1’s “Around the Boroughs” segment.
Amy loves sharing stories that make an impact on her community. In her free time, she loves watching the best team in the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche.
Otherwise, you can catch her at concerts or at dog parks trying to convince her pup that other dogs are friends and he doesn’t have to hide in the corner.
