DENVER — Evan Kruegel is a Reporter at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.
Evan joined 9NEWS in January of 2024. Prior to joining KUSA, Evan spent six years at KDVR in Denver, where his in-depth and spot news reporting was recognized with multiple regional Emmy Awards.
Evan shoots many of his own stories and was named Solo Video Journalist of the Year by the National Press Photographers Association in 2021.
A Colorado native, Evan grew up watching 9NEWS in his parent’s Boulder County bedroom and is thrilled to be working for Colorado’s News Leader.
Outside of work, you can usually find Evan spending time outdoors with his wife, daughter, and rescue dog, Murphy. Evan is also a huge fan of Denver sports teams.
