COLORADO, USA — From festivals and fairs to expos and music, there's lots to do, see and explore across Colorado this weekend.

Several annual Denver traditions are back this weekend including the Denver Travel & Adventure Show and Arvada Winterfest.

Colorado will certainly enjoy winter inside and out this February weekend. With more than a dozen festivals, expos, performances and events, there's an adventure awaiting you in all corners of the Centennial State.

Arvada Winterfest

ARVADA — The annual Winterfest arrives Saturday, Feb. 25, at McIlvoy Park in Old Towne Arvada. The free family event offers games, food, vendors, performances, carriage rides, ice sculpting, pet parade, ugly sweater contest, hot drinks, live music and more. Winterfest runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Dew Tour

COPPER MOUNTAIN — The Winter Dew Tour snowboard and ski competition and festival returns to Copper Mountain from Friday, Feb. 24, through Sunday, Feb. 26. The event celebrates the best in snowboarding, freeskiing, art and community with the world's best winter athletes competing in superpipe and streetstyle competitions. The Dew Tour is free and open to the public with fan-based activities at Copper's Center Village.

Stomp

DENVER — The worldwide phenomenon "Stomp" returns to the Mile High City this weekend. The international percussion sensation features an eight-member troupe using everything but conventional percussion instruments – matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps – to fill the stage with rhythm. Two new full-scale routines utilize props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans. "Stomp" plays Denver's Buell Theatre through Sunday, Feb. 26. Die tote Stadt

 DENVER — Opera Colorado continues its season with a new production of Korngold’s "Die tote Stadt (The Dead City)," opening Saturday, Feb. 25, at Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Additional performances are planned Feb. 28, March 3, and March 5. This will be Opera Colorado’s first production of "Die tote Stadt," an opera that fell out of sight during World War II and is rarely performed because of the uniquely challenging score and lead roles. Travel and Adventure Show

DENVER — “America’s favorite travel show” returns to the Colorado Convention Center this Saturday, Feb. 25, and Sunday, Feb. 26. Mardi Gras 4Paws

FRISCO — Frisco’s Mardi Gras Dog Parade will step off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. The costumed canine parade and street party will benefit Hope for Animals – Clear Creek Rescue, which helps abandoned, lost and suffering animals through rescue, shelter and public education. Hosted by the Town of Frisco and Hope for Animals – Clear Creek Rescue, the costumed parade for dogs and their families is cute, adorable and inspired by the Krewe of Barkus Parade in New Orleans. Colorado Mammoth vs. Panther City Lacrosse Club

DENVER — The world champion Colorado Mammoth return home to Ball Arena on Friday, Feb. 24. The Mammoth host Panther City Lacrosse Club at "The Loud House" at 7 p.m. Party Zone tickets start at $26 at Ticketmaster.com.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Calgary Flames

DENVER — The Colorado Avalanche hope to keep their winning streak alive when they host the Calgary Flames at Ball Arena on Saturday, Feb. 25. The puck drops in Denver at 8 p.m. Verified resale tickets start at $60 at Ticketmaster.com.

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers

DENVER — Bones Hyland and the Los Angeles Clippers come to Denver this Sunday, Feb. 26. The Denver Nuggets and L.A. Clippers meet in a Western Conference showdown at Ball Arena at 8 p.m. Sunday night. Tickets start at $33 at Ticketmaster.com.

Disney Animation Immersive Experience

DENVER — The creators of the popular "Immersive Van Gogh" have teamed with Disney for a new immersive experience at Lighthouse ArtSpace Denver at 3900 Elati Street. "Disney Animation: Immersive Experience" uses projection technology to allow audiences to feel like they’ve entered the worlds of Disney characters through music and artistry. "Encanto," "Zootopia," "Frozen," "The Lion King," "Peter Pan" and "Pinocchio" are among the animated movies featured. Tickets are on sale now at DisneyImmersive.com.

Bal Swan Ball

BROOMFIELD — The Bal Swan Ball is Broomfield's longest standing black tie event. The Ball will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Omni Interlocken Hotel & Resort. The theme of the Ball is “Our Future in Bloom” and will provide an evening of dinner, entertainment, aerial dancers, live music, and casino games. Proceeds benefit Bal Swan Children’s Center which provides early childhood education and therapeutic support.

Petite Parade

DENVER — Celebrate a Mile High Mardi Gras at Dairy Block, which is hosting the 5th annual Dairy Block Petite Parade on Sunday, Feb. 26, from noon – 2 p.m. Attendees are invited to “laissez les bons temps rouler” by building a creative float starting with a shoebox base. Free and open to all, the parade will take place inside The Maven’s Windsor Room, with entertainment provided by Denver’s Handsome Little Devils and live music by the Tivoli Brass Band.

Hotter Than Egypt

DENVER — "Hotter Than Egypt" is the newest production from Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Hailed as an audience favorite at the 2020 Colorado New Play Summit, "Hotter Than Egypt" is the tale of a couple's own personal revolutions. For a middle-aged American couple traveling to Egypt on a business trip-slash-vacation, their relationship is put to the test when an old connection leads to new temptation. Cupid's Undie Run

DENVER — Hundreds of people in Denver will take to the streets in just their undies during Cupid’s Undie Run on Saturday, Feb. 25. The event raises awareness of neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and fundraises for NF research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF).

Colorado Environmental Film Festival

GOLDEN — The 2023 Colorado Environmental Film Festival opens Thursday, Feb. 23, with a reception and silent auction at the American Mountaineering Center. The festival, which runs through Sunday, will screen feature-length and short films by foreign, local and young filmmakers.
