Stock Show was 10th-most attended in 118-year history in Denver

Colorado's Western tradition will return for its 119th edition Jan. 11-26, 2025.

DENVER — More than 671,000 people visited the 2024 National Western Stock Show despite some of the coldest temperatures in show history.

The 118th annual Stock Show concluded Sunday at the National Western Complex in Denver with 671,467 visitors over 16 days.

Even with record-low frigid temperatures, the 2024 event ends in the top 10 Stock Show attendance. The all-time attendance record of 726,972 guests set in 2006 during the 100th anniversary still stands.

"We have been fortunate to see record-breaking attendance year over year," said Paul Andrews, CEO and president of the National Western Stock Show. "Every guest that comes through our gates is a valued part of our Stock Show family, and we appreciate every single one of those who came out this year."

This year, the Auction of Junior Livestock Champions' 98 animals totaled $1,374,000, marking the 2024 livestock show as the second-highest sale in Stock Show history. The auction pulled in $548,000 across the top eight champion animals.

Save the date: the 119th annual National Western Stock Show opens Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, and continues through Sunday, Jan. 26.

Part-rodeo, part-livestock show and part-fair, the National Western Stock Show has been a celebration of Colorado's agricultural heritage since 1906.

The National Western Stock Show has one of the world’s richest regular-season professional rodeos, one of the country’s largest horse shows and Colorado’s largest agricultural trade show. The Stock Show welcomes attendees from 48 states and 32 countries and drives an estimated $171 million in economic impact to Colorado.
