Lakewood announces summer concert series schedule

The midweek outdoor concert series offers live music, food trucks, beer garden and sunset views.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Live music will return to Lakewood's outdoor amphitheater this summer.

The City of Lakewood has announced its annual summer concert series will take place every Wednesday night from June 12 through July 31.

The "Sounds Exciting! Summer Concert Series" will be held at the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Amphitheater at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park.

The midweek escape will feature live music, food trucks, a beer garden and views of the mountains at sunset.

Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley will kick off the 2024 concert schedule on Wednesday, June 12.

  • June 26 | Phillip-Michael Scales | Dive Bar Soul
  • July 10 | Los Mocochetes | Chicano Funk
  • July 17 | Hazel Miller & The Collective | Rhythm & Blues
  • July 24 | The McCharmlys | Vintage Rock ‘n’ Roll
  • July 31 | AJ Fullerton | Blues

Gates open at 5 p.m.; the opening act performs at 6:15 p.m., and the headliner takes the stage at 7:15 p.m.

Tickets for the summer concert series go on sale Thursday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at Lakewood.org/SummerConcerts, the Lakewood Cultural Center Box Office, at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park or by phone at 303-987-7845.

Season ticket packages, while supplies last, offer all six concerts for $50. Single tickets are $10 when purchased in advance.

Lakewood concert series tips

  • Bring a blanket or low lawn chair.
  • Pack a picnic or enjoy the local food truck fare.
  • Quench your thirst with beer, cider or wine from the beer garden.
  • Save by purchasing tickets in advance.
