Paulino Gardens closes after almost 60 years on North Broadway

It opened in 1960 when the Paulino family started selling the vegetables they grew.

DENVER — Shoppers said goodbye to Paulino Gardens over the weekend, many of store's loyal shoppers have been coming for decades, 

The garden center is closing after nearly 60 years in business at 6300 North Broadway in Denver.

It opened in 1960 when the Paulino family started selling the vegetables they grew. It is now a nursery and garden center.

Paulino Gardens on its Facebook page said Sunday was the last day to shop:

In 1915, Pietro and Rosa Paulino purchased 21 acres of land in Adams... County, and farmed it with their son Mike Sr. and his wife Amelia. In 1945, after serving two years in the United States Army, Mike Jr. (Mick) returned to become a partner in the truck farming business.
