Who knows how the rumors got started. But for the past several months, the owners of Elway's high-end steakhouse in Cherry Creek have been asked by customers if they are closing or moving.
"We're staying," said Tim Schmidt, who co-owns the restaurant with John Elway, Hall of Fame quarterback and general manager of the Denver Broncos.
Schmidt and Elway had been researching a possible location in the Denver Tech Center, Schmidt said.
"But we didn't want to cannibalize Cherry Creek," he said.
